We are passionate advocates of using local suppliers and seasonal ingredients, not least because it takes me back to childhood living on the family farm & takes both Lavinia & I back to our rural roots.
Our amazing Landlady Lavinia is also our Head Chef, She believes passionately in seasonal produce, thoughtfully sourced and cooked with precision. She serves a menu full of ingenious flavour combinations and delicious surprises – using the freshest seasonal produce sourced from local suppliers we know and trust. Grown or reared, Farmed or foraged, every ingredient that makes it into her dishes are the finest we can find.
Lavinia has worked in a number of kitchens in quality restaurants both in the UK & Ireland and has just made the very difficult decision to leave her much loved job to re-light the fires in the wonderful kitchen at The Salutation Inn and her aim is quite simple…to serve up some of the best food for miles.
These carefully crafted ales and magnificent meals are served in an authentic and relaxed setting. With seating available in one of our bar rooms next to our open wood fire or in our restaurant for a more formal setting we are sure you’ll enjoy the Salutation’s dining experience.
We're keeping the tradition of the Welsh pub alive with every pint we pour. The moment you walk through our door, you'll think that you've just been transported back to a better, simpler time. Over 150 years of brewing know-how has been used to brew our Felinfoel beers for you to enjoy. We are proud that these beers are well known and respected throughout the world, culminating in Double Dragon once winning best draught beer in the world. But our modern take on traditional British cuisine tells a different story. You've actually stumbled upon the best of both old and new, all under one roof.
